Rumble's original kitchen design featuring lots of drawers either side of the oven, but the client decided they did not need so many drawers and cupboards look like. So two, extra-wide single drawer now flank the oven and contain all the equipment owners need while cooking.

worktop is custom -made main oak and treated with Danish oil that gives a natural finish and does not change the look of wood.

high ceilings allow for high wall cabinets, the designer is divided into two. "If I made a cupboard with a single door each, there will be too much movement when they are opened," he explained. "They will also look too stretched."
By separating the top and bottom, cabinets appear well-proportioned. Upper cabinets are perfect for objects that are often not used, while the lower is easy to use and ideal for everyday needs.

kitchen cabinets on each side is deliberately designed to not reach the ceiling. "It's nice to have a gap at the top," explained Rumble. "It gives the room a feeling of space, and shows the unit off as a piece of furniture."

Unit next the right contains a fridge with freezer compartment; clients realize that they do not need a big freezer and ice boxes will be fine for them. On the left is a classic pantry, with drawers, shelves and practical, non-porous marble shelf inside.

Behind is insert marble sink tap. "With wooden worktops, we always recommend entering tap," said the designer. "You often do not see what is going on under the tap until late. If there is a leak, marble stop water seeping through and damaging the wood surface."

The client has already chose coral color scheme in the dining room and want something lighter in the kitchen. Units, bespoke painted pale green, beautiful coral complements and contrasts nicely with the hearty oak kitchen worktop.

"I have fun designing utility room, especially built-in wall unit, because it contains a lot of intelligent storage solutions, " says Rumble.
