Do you have the skills to prepare quilted oven mitt for a weekend or you have an eye for pretty tea towels, beautiful fabrics mold in the kitchen makes the place feel more homely directly.
Something anyone can have a go at was a runner table like this. Simply buy or repurpose cloth and a half meters long or longer than the length of your table (vintage linens that works wonders). Turn it over and iron double hem around 2 cm around each edge and either machine or hand-stitch in place. You could even use a strip of Bondaweb not if you're feeling lazy -. Fuse materials together when you iron it in place under a damp cloth
Another idea is to frame the most beautiful tea towels for the kitchen instead of printing. Many independent illustrator create beautiful designs in a tea towel, so you get a bit of an art to a fraction of the price.

How about something more tactile? It has a leather handle ergonomically friendly in your kitchen cupboard - an option which is much softer than metal fittings, and warmer to the touch than porcelain or glass.
You often can mess up your new fancy handle into the hole when you remove the person you are today, securing each screw with a nut on the back. If there is only one hole of removing an old knob instead of a handle, you can fold the skin into the circle and fashion a small tab instead of tackling. If there is no hole at all yet, you have to drill. It may be best to practice on a cheap free-standing furniture or a piece of wood before you get to work on your regular kitchen cabinets!
Make sure the straps of your skin is cut to the length that gives holding ample and attractive space, make a hole in it with an awl (make sure you put a piece of wood underneath to protect your surface) and using a flat screw heads to improve the grip on the place.

To clean them for use in your kitchen, give them a small washing with trisodium phosphate and water solution, then free spray with white vinegar, remove and allow to dry.
