"The concept is to open space flooded with light and with views of the garden," said Deirdre Hardiman, an interior designer based in Dublin and director Hepburn Designs. "The style of the traditional clean house and it carried through to the kitchen to keep the flow of the house."

Hepburn design
Unit island is a major requirement for the client. It features large drawers for storing plates, bowls and cutlery, and three cabinets on the side table for electrical equipment, such as a food processor, and cutlery and china at their best.
"With three boys around, patterned, porcelain floor tiles chosen to not show the dirt and is easy to keep clean," said Hardiman. "The tiles of different sizes have traditional views, in accordance with the original house, and warmed by underfloor heating."

The chimney breast is constructed to house the new features glossy black range cooker.

the kitchen area is actually consuming 4m x 6m space. At one end there is a large, free-standing cupboard painted to display family photos and hide cookery books

all the walls are painted a very pale creamy white, regardless of the feature wall, which is a warm sage.

The Giallo Imperial granite countertop kitchen is light-colored stone flecked with quartz crystals, speckles of red garnet and black granite accents on a beige background. It harmonises well with warm, neutral palette used throughout.
A comfortable seating area at the back of the room is equipped with a custom-made sofa and pine furniture inspected occasionally.
